End of my "Investigation"

Well, it looks like my investigation is coming to an end. I feel that the campaign was successful but ultimately my search for a suitable adversary will have to continue without my new BFF. I started my campaign with a series of attention grabbing methods of becoming friends: Facebook, Linked In, this blog, calendar countdowns and the ever-entertaining JibJab square dance video. Luckily for me, I'm well versed in social media campaigns. I held back on the live twitter feed and pin-interest and four square, because honestly, I don't think the subject of my attention has that far an internet reach. I even set up an alternate phone to text "kiwi facts" on the hour to torment my new friend, but ultimately, I didn't get enough of a response to continue. Due to a lack of interest from my new BFF, I will now cease the campaign. It's been fun. But I think our 15 minutes is now complete. I've attached my favorite auto-correct of Cat Facts, which was the inspiration for my campaign of Kiwi Facts. Alas, the Kiwi Fact campaign proved to be a bit boring, as there wasn't enough of a text response to post it. Enjoy the Cat Facts. It's pretty funny. And thanks for reading my blog. I'll let you know if I plan to "investigate" anyone else!

Continuing Q & A... with Adrian Old

How do you think a guy from Texas ended up here in New Zealand?

Some drunken Mexican in Tijuana told him that New Zealand was safe as they don’t have an extradition agreement with the U.S … same guy that told Kim Dotcom.


Do you think Jason cries at the movies? If so, which movies make him cry?

If he thinks it will get him to second base by the intermission …ABSOLUTELY !

Which movie …? Anything from ‘Bambi’ upwards to gain favour …


What actor would you choose to portray Jason in the movie about his life?

I think Russell Crowe would be good but if he’s a bit busy then I’d go with Eddie Murphy .. very similar in a lot of ways to Jason..


Is Jason the type of guy that would itemize a dinner receipt when out with friends or just split it evenly?

More to the point would his friends be insisting that he pay for the booze on the bill since he would have accounted for most of it !


If given the choice, do you think Jason would rather have super strength or super intelligence?

Since he clearly has both I think he would probably opt for a little more ‘fire power’ down below .. He is keen to shed the nickname ‘Tinky Winkie’ that his last girlfriend fondly referred to him as.. know what I’m saying Hills …? ;-)


Would you consider Jason to be humble?

Yes I would, humility is one of his strengths … unless he has been drinking.


Imagine Jason stranded on an island with a group of people… would he be the Professor, the Skipper, Thurston Howell III or Gilligan?

Let’s not rule him out of playing a stunning Ginger or Mary Anne … I’ve seen some pics of him in drag showcasing his after work persona …

When did you first meet Jason? At Finda® - he was one of my smoking buddies and always provided plenty of laughs during our breaks – I so miss my smoking buddy


Do you think his Texas accent has a kiwi flair or is he still a tough talking ramblin’ man? He is still a Texas cowboy at heart and still a gentleman in a lot of ways J But he is definitely becoming more “Kiwi” with each day! I cant wait to hear him saying in a Maori accent “I was internalising a real complicated situation in my head” etc

Has Jason ever drunk-dialled you? Yes – I can remember a few Friday night calls years ago asking to go out to some parties or clubs - I was always afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep up with this Party Animal but the offers were always nice


Do you think he drinks coffee, tea or red bull when he needs a caffeine kick? Coffee!! Oh wait…..no….. caffeine in the Cola, which of course is mixed with Rum lol


How tall is Jason? Next to me….anyone is a giant J But I would say close to 6ft


If you travelled around the world with Jason, how long would it take before you wanted to kill him? We wouldn’t want to kill him – we love him!! He’s AWESOME!!

Do you think Jason sings in the shower? If so, what song would you imagine tops the list? Sex bomb or Im too sexy lol

Would you consider Jason a daredevil or a nana? Daredevil and I am sure he has plenty of fantasy or superhero costumes in his wardrobe to back it up

As part of my "investigation" I'm asking a few questions of those who know my new BFF...

Thank you Wrigley Santos, for answering these questions as part of my ongoing "investigation" about the life and times of my new BFF, Jason Hodson.

When did you first meet Jason?

I first saw Jason in the Auckland office but he didn’t know me and I wasn’t cool enough.

When I moved to Finda® and he came up here one day from Wellington for a conference, I finally got the chance of a lifetime to meet the one and only Jason Hodson.

What were your impressions?

He was very American. That’s a good thing because I like Americans except for the crazy ones who audition on American Idol.

Do you think Jason owns a gun?

Yes, a shotgun.

Have you every seen Jason with a cowboy hat?

Yes, in a JibJab MTV video in fact!

Surfer, cowboy or ninja?

I think he’s part surfer, part cowboy. I heard that this guy can drink and I imagine ninjas only drink ginseng tea or something really zen and kungfu-ey so No on the ninja part.

Do you think Jason can do yoga?

Well, I heard he’s quite flexible so it’s a no brainer. He’s a yogi.

If you were on Survivor and needed to form an alliance, would you trust Jason in your inner circle?

Absolutely. I believe there will be suckers in the tribe who will be willing to give them their plantains, coconuts and fish so he’s the guy I’ll definitely stick to.

Have you ever had a dream about Jason?

No but I’m sure it’ll happen in the future.

If there was a zombiepocalypse, would you want Jason to be on your team of quirky survivors?

Yes, I believe he’ll be fantastic at camp as long as Jamie is not with him (not sure what went down there).

Now, if he gets bitten by a zombie and he becomes a walker, I have no hesitation but to use his shotgun on him.

What can I say about Jason Hodson? He's a Business Development Manager at Finda Ltd, he's an American living in Wellington, NZ. He's got a great sense of humor and I'm proud to call him my new BFF. There was a little misunderstanding earlier this month, and unfortunately I was banned from contacting him for the rest of February. But March is a new month for a new beginning! I've been so worried about him, without being able to communicate with him, so I've been doing my research and calling his co-workers and checking up without directly contacting him, so I'm well within the rules I've been issued.

Oh, Jason. It's been a tough 13 days since I offended you. I know we'll be able to look past our differences and become BFFs.
